Slow down and enjoy a weekend of self inquiry, relaxation and learning to teach Yin yoga. Yin yoga is a restorative practice that has healing benefits for everyone. During this training and immersion, students will enjoy learning about the physiology and application of Yin yoga.
Topics to be covered:
History of Yin yoga
Breakdown of 10-15 most common Yin Yoga postures
Pranayama or breathwork for Yin yoga classes
The Energy Body including chakras, koshas, breathwork, vayus, mudras
The mind/body relationship and how stillness holds the key to open the subconscious and unconscious mind
Sequencing yin yoga classes
How to give hands off modifications
Methods to add to the overall feel of your class including mantra, sensory experiences, and more
In-depth use of yoga props
Practice teaching a Yin Yoga class with feedback and assistance by faculty
